In the spirit of creating awareness and empowering communities through Science, MSMBB is proud to organise the MSMBB STEM “TIKTOK” VIDEO CHALLENGE. This
competition aims to create public interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through social media platforms. STEM bridges the gap between
society and scientific knowledge by not only designing and creating new things but also in providing solutions for everyday hurdles to provide a sustainable living
environment. Social media platforms provide millions of subscribers that are either influencers or observers across gender, generation or location. By employing these
approaches, STEM awareness can be empowered in a more approachable yet savvy manner.
a. The TIKTOK video competition is free and open for individual participation or groups up to four members.
b. Age limit is 18 years and above.
c. Each team is expected to shoot a one-minute video in English, through the TikTok application by using the MSMBB logo OR MSMBB backdrops (available in the MSMBB website) with the content being relevant to STEM. The video will then need to be downloaded and submitted via application form (https://forms.gle/UJMsUiyJWgpNWJfA9) to be posted on the society’s Instagram, @msmbbofficial.
d. There will be four winners for this challenge. The top two videos with the most likes (public judges) on @msmbbofficial Instagram account during the competition will receive RM500 for each video and the top two with the most likes for content (private judges) will receive RM500 for each video as well.
