OBJECTIVE

To create public interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through social media platforms.

INTRODUCTION

STEM bridges the gap between society and scientific knowledge by not only designing and creating new things but also in providing solutions for everyday hurdles to provide a sustainable living environment. Social media platforms provide millions of subscribers that are either influencers or observers across gender, generation or location. By employing these approaches, STEM awareness can be empowered in a more approachable yet savvy manner.

The Malaysian Society of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MSMBB) is proud to announce the 4th International Conference on Molecular Biology and Biotechnology 2021 (4thICMBB2021) in conjunction with the 27th Scientific Meeting of MSMBB.

In a world where maintaining balance is becoming more challenging, pursuing sustainable science is of importance to support long-term ecological balance. It is pertinent that science is geared towards solving problems to ensure the development of effective interventions to meet the needs of present and future generations, while protecting the environment. It is not an easy task as it requires multidiscipilinary collaboration.

The  ICMBB2021 features an extended range of sessions that brings together researchers from various disciplines (Agriculture, Environment, Medicine, Industry, Food and Aquatic Sciences), industry professionals and young scientists. We hope that ICMBB2021 will provide an arena for participants to connect with colleagues, share and exchange knowledge, generate new ideas and establish collaboration to kickstart the theme for this year; Beyond 2021: Building sustainable science.
